There are two different versions of Stone of Sisyphus available here, and each version is available in your choice of 96kbps or 160 kbps. If you have "uber" bandwidth, go for the 160's, as they are higher quality. If your bandwidth isn't all that great, go for the 96's as they are roughly 40% smaller in file size, but still don't sound too shabby. All tracks provided at SOS MP3 Online have been digitally repaired thanks to an anonymous benefactor, digital spikes have been removed and the quality maximized to the fullest extent possible. If you downloaded from here prior to November 25, 2001, consider updating your files with the improved versions now available. Stone of Sisyphus Version One was apparently the first version somehow leaked to the general public ("general" was relative, depending upon whom you knew). For several years people traded multi-generational cassette copies of this work, each copy gradually declining in quality. Conventional wisdom seems to indicate that this was not a final-edit version, as some songs were a little rough around the edges, though it was mostly complete. Stone of Sisyphus Version Two is from a later DAT recording that many credit Dawayne Bailey for making available after the earlier version was already in wide circulation. There was some ill will from Chicago directed towards Dawayne about this version being "released", but his alleged position was hard to argue with; other less-than-quality copies were already being passed around in abundance. Its different track order contains some marginally noticeable edits from the earlier version - most notably to All The Years, Stone of Sisyphus and Sleeping In The Middle Of The Bed Again. Some songs seem unchanged, but all tracks from both versions are provided here for the sake of thoroughness. All tracks are downloadable only as "zipped" files utilizing WinZip. Too many automated MP3 spiders were eating up bandwidth, so this change means true visitors don't have to share bandwidth with the 'bots, and my donated server space remains available.
